PatrickGan9's secret to slim down - And stay slim!

Alright, if you think that I'm not sure what I'm talking, cause I'm still with a "tummy", guess again! Why I'm so confident that I can slim down without eating less... is because the regime that I had went through in my RT lessons in the army thought me this. In that month of intensive exercise, I had slim down 3KG, and guess what ~ I actually ate MORE in that month!

The logic is simple ~ exercise is the key ... as the physical instructor said... any slim fit diet or spa or massage or whatever, just only works cause YOU paid them soooo MUCH , and YOU want to be sure YOU slim down.... then after the package spa or diet months are over, WHAT do YOU do?

YOU BLoat DOUBLE ! The situation is simple ~ if you don't EXERCISE , you only rely on the diet and less food intake.... and so when you went back to normal diet, your system just can't take it and it "reserves" the extra calories and you doubled. It's that simple really.

BUT THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER ! SO what do you mean that you can stop all that mouth watering foods from filling up your dreams and making you go crazy?

Don't !

Yes. Don't. You don't have to. All you need, is a good habit build up slowly but surely of exercising on a weekly basis. And you can still gobble up all that wonderful food!

OK. Now on to the final stage of consistent exercise.

After the 3 weeks of pick up for your body to get used to exercise, you can start pumping more to make your heart push faster.

The theme for consistent exercise is ... long duration of exercise instead of short term heavy duty body building... that is, if you are not body building of course.

If, you decided on the stadium run like me, the steps are ( after the 3 weeks of build up ) :~

1) warm up for 15 mins off stadium. Includes jumping jacks, running on the spot, stretches, push ups , sit ups, more stretches, hands claps, twisters... make sure these exercises are started with short reps, then after your body is stretched, continue the same exercises again but with longer reps.

2) go to the stadium or park and do one slow jog for one round.

3) do the next 5 rounds in the stadium ( about 2km ) more intensively. increase speed every round of the stadium. by the 3 round you should be starting to "DIE" and wanting to give up, but continue up to the 5th round.

4) slow down to a trot for the 6th round... then walk round the stadium and breathe deeply too.

5) stretch down and go HOME!

Keep this regime for your life and I'm pretty sure you will turn out ok. If you don't have a stadium, get a trackmill, or aerobics or an hour long of continuous dancing/boxing or swimming too can do wonders. But swimming needs to be done more vigorously or else is pretty useless ( unless you can swim 10 laps per swim , which I knew of a friend who did 10 laps regularly and slim down! ) . If you try to ride a bicycle; please, you are wasting your time.. unless again, you are the "marathon" category, where they bicycle some 10 km per exercise? I really don't know...

So, the secret is out... the fitness I'm talking about is ... endurance exercise. But, again, after you are glued to exercise... please, moderation again... not too much or else your body will break down. tat's all !
