WHAT does the phrase... MIND, BODY and SOUL implies?

This every day phrase depicts the 3 entities coming together as ONE. It is the totality of your being in existence with the universe itself.

The challenge with 99.9% of the world's population, is that most of the time, our minds are racing in and out of the rat race that we live in. The hustling and bustling of the city streets often engulf our souls to mundane tasks of just living out our lives. No aspiration, no deep thoughts, no spiritual connection to any being or entity. Sad.

For a simple diet exercise, your mind tells you to reduce calories and meaty and sugary intakes. But your body lingers for the fries, Baskin Robbins, steak, chicken and wafers, KFC, whopper burgers and more. There is no singular control of the 3 entities. It's a massive meltdown!

For starters, we need to pay attention to our mind, body and soul connection. From there, we can live in a more mindful state, so to speak. This is in essence, giving intentional care to ourselves, first. Which conversely creates a stronger sense of well-being in our daily lives.

Your Life is Messed Up!

Ever being overwhelmed with all the work stress and love life or family life that you want to plaster your face into a watermelon???

Negatively, stress can induce health issues like heart problems, digestive discomfort, headaches, breathing difficulties, etc.

But, and only but, when you are happy, your overall immune system is boosted! Did you know that? A happy heart leads to lower blood pressure, reduce your chances of chronic diseases and you won't lose so much hair too!

So the first thing in attaining the oneness of the 3 entities is to have a healthy body and happy lifestyle. Getting enough sleep is one of the many things you should do to promote your healthy body. Exercising regularly, eating in moderation, spending more time at the parks or with nature. Once the healthy body is attained, the mind and soul are enhanced to a better connection.

“Whatever one frequently thinks and ponders upon, that will become the inclination of his mind.” (Source: the Dvedhavitakka Sutta)

"Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become YOUR WORDS.

Keep your words positive because your words become YOUR BEHAVIOR.

Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes YOUR HABITS.

Keep your habits positive because your habits become YOUR VALUES.

Keep your values positive because your values become YOUR DESTINY."

                                                                                            — Mahatma Gandhi

As Yoda tells Anakin Skywalker, "Be mindful of your thoughts." The latter phrase, even though it is a movie, thoroughly shows our thoughts do have an effect on our mental health and physical health. One way to nurture our thoughts is through meditation. Another way which many of us do is through prayers. These practices instill the mind to calm itself and remain still, and to focus on the moment instead.

The mind could be a most powerful asset cause our whole life is based on our perception of the world depicting what our mind tells us to believe.

So, trust your feelings and not just your thoughts. Question your thought patterns daily. The journey is important, and many a times, people and the environment may be harsh, and they will condemn you or blame you. But take heart! Be benevolent, and forgiving to oneself and others. Patience and perseverance will take you to the top of the Himalayas!

Do not run your goals and missions alone. Find a community that will accept you as you are. Have a few good pals to cherish your values in life! Read a positive story each day to begin your day! And surround yourself with positive people from all walks of life! At the end of the day, have a reflection on what could be better. Put that into the next day's missions! You Are Ready!

The spirit comprises the non-physical aspects of who we are, just as the mind and body are connected; the spirit and body are also connected together on this Earth.

Studies have shown that people with high spirituality tend to have less stress and anxiety, and are better at coping with issues. They have good relationships and a positive purpose in life. All these can bring to a better overall physical well-being.

Besides dwelling in one's respective faiths, to connect to your spirituality one might spend more time with nature. Writing down your thoughts and meditating also bring you closer to your soul searching.

Yoga is a good spiritual exercise regime that can get you to connect with your soul.

On the whole, take a look at what you can be grateful each day. Enhance that! Notice the little things going on in your life like a child; cause it is said that the eyes of a small toddler see everything in this world without filters! They see the beauty of everything and anything. Be a child! Be child-like, and explore your world once again like you have never tracked! You'll be amazed!

And finally, with special quotes from Rhonda Byrne, The Secret (book)

“Be grateful for what you have now. As you begin to think about all the things in your life you are grateful for, you will be amazed at the never ending thoughts that come back to you of more things to be grateful for. You have to make a start, and then the law of attraction will receive those grateful thoughts and give you more just like them.”

“There is no such thing as a hopeless situation. Every single circumstances of your life can change! ”

“There is a truth deep down inside of you that has been waiting for you to discover it, and that truth is this: you deserve all good things life has to offer.”

The Cute and Intelligent Little Billy Boy from Patrick Gan 9

Have a Candy Bar ?

Little Billy was sitting on a park bench munching on one candy bar after another and another.

After the 9th candy bar, a man sitting across the bench said, "Son, you know eating all that candy isn't good for you. It will give you pimples, your teeth ill rot, and you will grow fat and ugly!"

Little Billy replied, "My grandfather lived to be 107 years old." ......"Oh?“ replied the man. "

Did your grandfather eat 6 candy bars at a time?"

"No" replied Little Billy, "he minded his own f*cking business!!"

I Like Your Thinking!

A teacher asks her class, "If there are 9 birds sitting on a fence and you shoot one of them, how many will be left?" .... She calls on little Billy.

He replies, "None, they will all fly away with the first gunshot."
The teacher replies, "The correct answer is 8, but I like your thinking."

Then little Billy says, "I have a question for YOU. There are 3 women sitting on a bench having ice cream:

The First is delicately licking the sides of the triple scoop of ice cream.
The Second is gobbling down the top and sucking the cone.
The Third is biting off the top of the ice cream.
....Who is happily married?"

The teacher, blushing a great deal, replies, "Well, I suppose the one that's gobbled down the top and sucked the cone."

..............To which Little Billy replied, "The correct answer is 'the one wearing the wedding ring', but I like your thinking! "

When You Fail your Maths Test.

Little Billy returns home from school and says he got an F in mathematics.

"Why?" asks his father.
"The teacher asked, 'What is 2x3?' I said 6," replied Billy.

"But that's right!" says his dad.
"Yeah, but then she asked me, 'then what is 3x2?'"

"What is the f*cking difference? " asks the father.

............. "That's what I said!"

All about English

Little Billy goes to school, and the teacher says, "Today we are going to learn multi-syllable words, class. Does anybody have an example of a multi-syllable word?"

Billy says, " Mas-tur-bate."
Miss Rogers smiles and says, "Wow, little Billy, that's a mouthful."

........Little Billy says, "No, Miss Rogers, you are thinking of a bl*wjob."

Beautiful , just beautiful

One day, during lessons on proper grammar in English, the teacher asked for a show of hands from those who could use the word "beautiful" in the same sentence twice.

First she called on little Suzie, who responded with,
"My father bought my mother a beautiful dress and she looked beautiful in it."
"Well done, Suzie," replied the teacher.

She then called on little Bob.
"My mommy planned a beautiful buffet banquet and it turned out beautifully."
The teacher exclaimed, "Excellent, Bob!"

Then, she reluctantly called on little Billy.
"Last night, at the dinner table, my sister told my father that she was pregnant, he inhaled and burst out shouting, .........."Beautiful, just f**king beautiful! "
