7 Habits of Highly & Extremely Effective People from Patrick Gan9

1. Be proactive – Choose how u WANT to react to any given situation.

You could say I can’t do it.
Instead, say "GO GO GO!"

It’s just my nature.
Instead, say "Anything will do!"

He makes me angry.
Instead, say "She looks beautiful!"(divert anger to something happy)

2. Begin with the end in mind – What do you want to see at the end of all this?

A guy enjoying the sunset with a bungalow at the seaside with all the beautiful babes rubbing sun tan lotion on him?

Everyone seeking you out for advice on everything? Whatever you say is gold to people?

Everyone you love and empathize, are all well taken care of?

Before you make that move, plan beforehand.

3. Put first things first –
I. crises, urgent problems, deadlines.

II – preventive actions, relationship, building relationship, planning, leisure as in exercise.
Part II must be the main objective to prevent part I from happening.

Put these out –
III. Interruptions, some calls, emails, mails, meetings, reports, popular activity.
IV. Trivia, time wasters, pleasant activity.

4. Think win-win-win !!!! – Make sure the circumstances are also win-win, or else it is useless. If cannot achieve win-win, just let the other party go as this doesn’t create hatred.

5. Seek to understand, then to be understood – don’t jump the gun!

6. Get like-minded people to you – make sure everyone around you see the same way as you. Keep like-minded people with you (rich dads) and all will move towards the same goal.
Keep negative minded people (poor dads) with you and you move in the direction as they do.

7. Sharpen your knife – renew yourself.
Be physical - exercise.
Be spiritual – this forms the set of values through which the 7 effective habits grow.
Mediate, pray, spiritual renewal.
Be mental – immerse in the thoughts of great minds through books, seminars, etc.
Be social/emotional – share, co-operate in creativity, empathize towards people’s needs.
